We cannot think of any deal on Kashmir

RAWALPINDI: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major-Gen Asif Ghafoor said that we cannot think of any deal on Kashmir. We will fight for Kashmir until last soldier and last breath.

While addressing to Press conference he said that Pakistan will go to any lengths for Kashmir, and Pakistan hasn’t backed down from the issue in 72 years. .

The DG ISPR said that the issue of occupied Kashmir is an internationally recognised matter, and he wants to tell Kashmiris that Pakistanis are with them.

He said that Pakistan cannot think of any deal on the issue of Kashmir.

Referring to US President Donald Trump’s earlier statement on the matter about US mediation, Maj-Gen Ghafoor said that there is a need to trust national leadership, as whatever Prime Minister Imran Khan and the US president discussed came before the world.

‘India’s intention for a new war’

The DG ISPR stated that India’s acts in the valley highlight its intention for a new war.

On bilateral ties with India, the DG ISPR said that two nuclear powers do not have space for a nuclear war, and due to this knowledge, India indirectly tried to cause damage to Pakistan.

He warned that if a false-flag operation or violation of the Line of Control happens then Pakistan Army is prepared to give a befitting reply.

“India should remember its act of February 27, and if it repeats the move then Squadron Leader Hasan and Wing Commander Noman are ready,” he said.

DG ISPR Maj-Gen Ghafoor said that the issue of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav is a primary example of indirect attacks from across the border.

India increasing HR violations in occupied Kashmir

India has increased human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, and Pakistan is trying to steer global attention towards the matter, said the DG ISPR.

The DG ISPR said that 220 million Indian Muslims and other minorities are facing violence based on an extremist ideology, adding that Indian PM Narendra Modi’s fascist ideology is a threat to the regional peace.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had sincerely offered negotiation to India, he said, adding that Pakistan is a responsible state.

Pakistan has its own strategic importance in South Asia: DG ISPR

The army’s spokesman said that Pakistan has its own strategic importance in the region of South Asia, adding that the international players have their vested interests in the region too.

The DG ISPR said that Pakistan has played its part well in regional issues and fought valiantly against terrorism.

Due to the war on terror, Pakistan has faced innumerable loss of lives and damage to its economy, said Maj-Gen Ghafoor.

He said that Pakistan always strived for a peaceful resolution for Kashmir issue, and the solution lies in the resolutions of the United Nations.
