Fake degree case, LHC disqualify MPA Kashif Mahmood


Lahore: Member of Punjab Assembly and PML-N politician Kashif Mehmood has been disqualified by Lahore Highcourt in fake degree case.

The petition was filled by a voter of PP-241 A. Ghaffar who had requested to disqualify Kashif for submitting a false degree during elections 2018 in Election Commission which is illegal under article 62-1.

Earlier, MPA Mehmood has mentioned that he is a graduate of Al Khair University while Al Khair confirmed that he has never been a student at their university.

The court has also ordered to ECP to issue the notification of Kashif Mehmood disqualification. Kashif was elected from PP 241 (Bahawalnagar) and secured 48000 votes in the elections 2018 while his opposit candidate was Muzafar Khan from PTI who secured 44000 votes.
