Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed deep concern for delayed tactics of Indian judiciary and administration regarding Kashmiri political prisoners presently confined in different jails of Kashmir and outside in Indian Occupied Kashmir.

The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar on Sunday said people are jailed for more than six months, and no judicial remedy or bail is possible.

Justice for a common citizen is beyond his reach.

It said that the prisoners on one hand were kept thousands of miles away from their home land and on the other hand they were forced to face biased and communal jail staff.

The APHC deplored that the judicial apathy and its deliberate slow pace had prolonged the prisoners’ detention.

The statement also condemned the summoning of Kashmiri editors and owners of reputed media houses by Indian probe agencies like National Investigation Agency.
