02 Pakistani soldiers martyred in IED blast near Pak-Afghan border

Rawalpindi: 02 Pakistani soldiers known as Major Adeel Shahid and Sepoy Faraz Hussain embraced martyrdom near Pakistan-Afghan border in Mohmand district.

In a tweet, Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor said the martyred fell victim to an IED planted by terrorists from across the border. He said the incident happened when Pakistan Army’s squad under the martyred officer was supervising fencing work in an area which carried critical infiltration route.

Defence Minister Pervez Khattak and Minister for Defence production Zubaida Jalal have condemned the incident of terrorism along Pak-Afghan border near Mohmand District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In their separate statements, they expressed grief and sorrow over martyrdom of Major Adeel Shahid and Sepoy Faraz Hussain during the incident.

They expressed heartfelt condolence with the families of martyrs.

They said we will not allow terrorists to achieve their heinous designs.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri have condemned the IED attack on Pak-Afghan border and expressed grief and sorrow over martyrdom of Major Adeel Shahid and Sepoy Faraz Hussain during the incident.

In their separate statements, they expressed condolence with the family of martyrs.

They said Pakistani military has always made unprecedented sacrifices for national defense and security.

They said such subversive actions of terrorists cannot quell our commitment to eradicate terrorism from the country.
